I am a Vancouver-based lighting, set and projection designer originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I have a strong foundation in technical theatre, where I worked first as a technician and a technical director. In 2008 I received my BA in Technical Scenography from Dalhousie University.
In May of 2012 I graduated with an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Victoria. At UVic I was pleased to design the lighting for the world premiere of Daniel MacIvor's play, Inside, directed by Dora-winner David Ferry. Recently I designed the set and lighting for the University of Victoria's remount of The Marowitz Hamlet, directed by Charles Marowitz himself. My other accomplishments at UVic include designing the lights for the entire 2011/12 season and completing a lighting design for the Belfry Theatre's world premiere of Michelle Riml's on the edge in January of 2012. In the fall of 2012 I was invited back to UVic as a guest lighting designer.
I am available to design sets, lighting or projections for dance, opera, theatre, live events and recitals.
